Break Through Year 11s Show True Commitment with Holiday Revision Clubs

For the first time, Break Through School extended its academic offer to include Holiday Revision Clubs, giving learners the chance to boost their GCSE preparation during the school break. This new initiative launched over the Spring Break with Year 11 learners stepping up to attend focused revision sessions designed to reinforce their knowledge and boost confidence ahead of the summer exams.

The turnout was a fantastic success, with nearly all Year 11s taking part and making the most of the additional support offered. Staff members gave up their time to facilitate the sessions, creating a positive and focused learning environment over the holidays.

Principal Ruth Elliott praised the learners for their dedication, saying:

“We’re incredibly proud of our Year 11s. Their willingness to engage with revision during the holidays shows just how committed they are to achieving their full potential. At Break Through, we often say ‘Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn’t Work Hard’—and our learners have truly lived up to that.”

This marks the beginning of a wider programme of holiday interventions that will be rolled out in the coming terms, reinforcing the school’s commitment to ensuring every learner is equipped to succeed.
