Learners from Break Through School in Belvedere have been widely recognised across the Royal Borough of Greenwich this autumn, receiving prestigious awards that celebrate their hard work, resilience, and positive contributions to the community.
Throughout the term, learners were honoured at a series of borough-wide award ceremonies, including:
- Do The Right Thing Awards – recognising learners who consistently demonstrate integrity, kindness, and responsibility in their daily lives.
- Academic Contributions – celebrating those who have excelled in their studies, showing curiosity, determination, and commitment to learning.
- Recognition of Learners in Looked After Care – acknowledging the achievements of young people in care who continue to thrive in education and inspire others through their perseverance and success.
Learners were also commended for their involvement in the ACE project, as well as for showing resilience and community spirit in the face of challenges.
School Principal Ruth Elliott said:
“We are incredibly proud of every one of our learners. Their achievements across Greenwich highlight their strength, compassion, and determination to succeed, both in and out of the classroom. These awards remind us of the importance of celebrating each learner’s journey and recognising the power of perseverance and positivity.”
The recognition reflects Break Through School’s commitment to inclusive education and nurturing every learner’s potential. Together, staff and learners continue to build a culture of celebration, aspiration, and equity, where every achievement is valued, and every learner shines.
