The Sustainability Creative Crafts group at Break Through School, Belvedere, ended Autumn Term 1 with a burst of eco-friendly creativity. Learners designed and made beautiful autumn wreaths using conkers and natural materials gathered from local parks, celebrating sustainability and resourcefulness.
The project encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity while highlighting the importance of reusing and valuing what nature provides.
Led by Sustainability Lead, Louise Marcus, the group’s next project is already underway, an ambitious plan to transform an ordinary tree into a stunning Christmas display made entirely from natural and locally sourced materials.
School Principal Ruth Elliott said:
“We’re incredibly proud of how our learners have embraced sustainability through creative projects. They’ve shown real imagination and care for the environment, and we can’t wait to see their next big idea come to life.”
Through hands-on, purposeful activities, Break Through School continues to nurture creativity, community spirit, and environmental awareness in every learner.
